  1. Thoroughly defrost leg quarters if needed

  2. Rub the chicken with vegetable oil (best to do this first since it will be more difficult once it's stuffed)

  3. Place about 1/2 cup of sour cream in a bowl (so you don't get raw chicken in the sour cream container)

  4. Make a pocket in the chicken skin under the thigh and leg, and stuff with sour cream using a small spoon. Make sure the sour cream gets into the legs as well.

  5. Season with salt, pepper, and herbs de provence or italian seasoning

  6. Air fry using the chicken setting or bake at 375 for about 30 minutes. Do not flip the chicken.

Notes

Check the chicken a few minutes before the air fryer chicken setting is done with an instant read thermometer
